2010 Sept 27 - Nov 1 Silver Jewelry Beginner

Learn the basic techniques of sawing, shaping, soldering and finishing pieces of personal jewelry from sterling silver and copper. The first project is a pendant or pin created from silver and copper sheet, the second is a ring band with or without a stone and after that you create your own pieces to suit your taste. Students with experience in silver jewelry are welcome to work on their own projects in this class .

A supply fee of $40.00 will be collected to cover sterling silver and materials for the first 2 projects. Suitable for beginner or advanced students.

2010 Nov 8 - Dec 6 Rings with Stones

If you would like to make finger rings set with gemstones out of sterling silver this is the course for you. If you have been collecting gems it's time to wear them. This course will lead you through the steps in making fashionable rings and other jewelry items set with your favorite gems using sterling silver sheet and wire.

A Supply fee includes basic equipment and some silver for the 2 projects in the course $40.

2011 Jan 17 - Feb 14 Silver Jewelry Beginner

2011 Feb 28 - Apr 5 Simple Silver Casting

Small jewelry items or small objects, either found or made from plastic, can be duplicated in sterling silver using cuttlefish bone or casting sand. The technique is simple and immediate, taking no more than 30 minutes. It can easily be done at home without expensive equipment..
